Agreement to Terms
By requesting and accepting computer repair services from Syntech Computer Services Ltd, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Service Scope
Syntech Computer Services Ltd will provide repair services for computer hardware and software issues as described in the service order. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service for any reason.
Estimates and Approvals
We will provide an estimate for the cost of repairs upon initial inspection.
No work will be performed without customer approval of the estimated charges.
Payment Terms
Full payment is due upon completion of services.
We accept cash, all major credit cards, and PayPal.
Late payments may incur additional fees.
Card payments are handled by various online payment systems, we do not store or have access to customer payment details.
Diagnostics Fee
A diagnostics fee of £29 + VAT is payable in the event that you decide not to proceed with a repair after a quote/estimate has been given.
The diagnostic fee is not payable if you decide not to proceed with a repair when the price given after diagnostics have been completed is higher than the initial estimate.
No Fix, No Fee
Our computer repair service operates under a 'no fix, no fee' policy. This means that if we are unable to resolve the issue with your computer, you will not be charged for our services. We believe in providing transparent and fair services to our customers, ensuring you only pay for successful repairs.
Exclusions; Some services may be excluded from the no fix, no fee policy due to the complexity of the diagnostics process required. This includes but is not limited to liquid damage, extensive physical damage etc. You will be informed in advance should the no fix, no fee policy not apply.
A repair is deemed ‘unsuccessful’ if the technician cannot resolve the main issue described by the customer.
If the computer is deemed beyond economical repair, the customer will be informed and the no fix, no fee policy will apply.
Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for backing up all data before service.
The customer must provide any passwords and access codes required to complete the repair.
The customer must provide accurate and complete information about the issue(s) and any previous attempts to repair the device.
Data Protection & Backups
While we strive to protect customer data, we are not responsible for data loss.
Customers are advised to back up data before any service is performed.
Where possible, we will endeavor to backup your data prior to carrying out any service on your computer which could result in data loss. However, we are not responsible for customer data and accept no liability for and data loss while your computer is in our care.
Warranty and Guarantee
We offer a 12-month warranty on all repairs, unless stated otherwise at time of service.
This warranty covers labour, and parts supplied and installed by Syntech Computer Services Ltd.
If you agree to, or request the use of refurbished or used parts, the warranty period will be as specified by the supplier, or 3-months, whichever is the greater.
Warranty is void if repairs are performed by other parties or if the device is misused.
Issues caused by user errors or neglect, such as spilled liquids or physical damage, may be excluded.
Issues due to illegal software installations or malware from unsafe sources may be excluded.
Software issues are limited to a 30-day warranty
All our refurbished computers are backed by our 12 months parts and labour guarantee.
Liability Limitation
Syntech Computer Services Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the repair services.
Unclaimed Devices
Devices not claimed within 30 days of repair completion will be considered abandoned.
Abandoned devices may be disposed of or sold to cover the cost of services.
Confidentiality
We respect customer privacy and will not disclose any personal information or data without consent, except as required by law.
Service Limitations
Repair times are estimates and not guaranteed.
Appointment times for home and office visits are estimates and not guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by unavailability of parts or other unforeseen circumstances.
Software Licensing
Customers must provide valid software licenses for all software requiring installation or re-installation.
Syntech Computer Services Ltd will not install or use pirated or illegal software.
Home Visits
Where possible, we will make every effort to provide you with an estimate for the required service or repair prior to booking a home visit.
Where we are unable to provide an accurate quote, our standard hourly rate will apply.
Home visits are subject to a minimum charge equivalent to one hour at our standard hourly rate.
A callout charge may apply depending on your location. Please contact us for details.
When requesting a home visit you’ll be given a 1-2 hour time window in which we’ll aim to arrive. Appointment times for home and office visits are estimates and not guaranteed.
If we are unable to complete a repair onsite for any reason you’ll be offered the option to have it repaired at our workshop. If you refuse to allow our technician to take the computer away to complete the repair, our standard minimum charge for home visits will apply.
Cancellations & Failed Appointments
A minimum of 1 hour is required for appointment cancellations.
Missed appointments or failure to cancel within the cancellation window may incur a charge equivalent to 1-hour at our standard hourly rate.
Free Collection & Return
Free collection & return is available within our local service area as shown below.
Free collection is defined as collection from your door. Your computer must be disconnected and ready for collection on our arrival. Additional charges may apply should we need to spend time disconnecting your computer. This does not apply if you have a disability which means you’re unable to disconnect the computer yourself.
Free return is defined as delivery to your door only. Additional charges may apply should you need us to reconnect your computer. This does not apply if you have a disability which means you’re unable to reconnect the computer yourself.
Parking Charges & Tolls
In the event that our technician incurs parking charges or tolls during a site visit, the customer agrees to reimburse these expenses in addition to the agreed service fees. All such charges will be itemised and included in the final invoice for the site visit.
Local Service Area
We offer free collection and return and no callout charge to customers residing within our ‘local area’. This refers to locations which can be reached by car within 20 minutes drive of Pontllanfraith, Blackwood.
Our Onsite Support and Free Collection and Return services are available in the following areas. If you're located outside these areas, please contact us to discuss possible arrangements.

Subject to availability, we may be able to provide you with a loan laptop whilst your computer is being repaired. Please ask for details.
Promotional Offers
Discount offers apply to service charges only, parts are excluded unless otherwise stated.
Offers cannot be combined, only one offer can be redeemed per transaction.
Changes to Terms
reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website or notifying customers in writing.
Acceptance of Terms
By engaging Syntech Computer Services Ltd for repair services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
